Christmas

We had an amazing Christmas this year. Just something simple and I really enjoyed it. My day started around 7 am because Josh was too excited but I told him that he had to wait til I got all ready because I wanted to do something with my hair. So he had to wait almost 2 hours lol. It didn't take me that long to do my hair it just took me a while to get out of bed. :P
So after I was ready, I put the roast in the crock pot and we opened presents. I think Josh liked his and I know I loved mine. He did a good job!
After a while, I started getting everything else ready for dinner. Got started on the potatoes, and after that the deviled eggs. I took a little break while Josh went to Walgreens to get some pop and chips & dip so we could have something small to snack on til dinner was ready.
Julia came over and we started eating around 4, when the roast finally finished. It was soo yummy! I must say I did a pretty good job :) Well I guess as far as the roast goes, it was actually the crock pot that did a good job. lol
Julia got Josh an otterbox for his Iphone and my present will be coming soon because she had to get tickets to go see her family in California so my Iphone will be here in a couple weeks! Can't wait because I'm tired of my junky phone.
Well that pretty much sums up our Christmas! I had a blast!

About that time...

For another useless update. :)
Christmas is getting closer and closer! And Josh and I are both so excited!
We're going to have Julia over since we went over to her house for Thanksgiving.
I'm going to make roast, because it's easy lol... Just throw it in the crock pot. Along with that probably the usual sides: mashed potatoes & gravy, some veggies, dinner rolls, deviled eggs and I gotta have my cranberry sauce! Sadly, this is the first time that Julia has been over since we moved in. I mean she saw the house when we finally got everything moved in and got all settled, but she hasn't been over for dinner yet. That's what happens when everyone has completely different work schedules.
I had a dream last night that Josh didn't like any of the presents I bought, but oh well! lol. I'm sure he will and I didn't go overboard like last year. I just kept it simple :) But by the look of my presents, I think he went a little overboard on me. YAY! lol No I know that Christmas isn't about the presents, it's about being with the ones you love! :) I even told him that if he got me all pajamas I'd be more than happy. lol But I guess that wouldn't be much fun for him.

Hmm. let's see what else I can blab about. I decided to decorate the tree the same as last year because it matched the living room. It's annoying being so picky! lol. I need to invest in some new living room decor so that next year Josh can decorate the tree in the traditional colors. But since our living room is browns, blues and greens, the red and green would have looked awful. Picky, picky me.

It's finally starting to get cold here, I think. Really the winters in Texas are from January-February. That's usually when we see some snow. At least that's how it was last year. I would love for it to snow on Christmas, just because Josh really wants it to so I know he would be happy.

Well I don't know what else to blab about so I'm going to get off here. It's my day off so I'm being lazy but I feel like maybe organizing the closet. lol. I'm always cleaning something, even if it doesn't need cleaned! lol

Black Friday. YIKES!

So I decided to go Black Friday Shopping today at walmart, and I don't think I WILL EVER be doing that again. WOW. I stood in line for almost an hour JUST to get the games I wanted, because there wasn't anyone in the electronics department helping with video games. Good thing is that once he got the 2 games I needed and brought them up to the cashier I only had about 5 people in front of me. So only had to wait about 5 minutes. If only someone would have been helping in the video games sooner, I probably would have finished everything in 15 minutes rather than an hour. But oh well I guess. It was nice to get a good deal, but I honestly think I'd rather pay full price than have to go through that again. I mean people kept getting in front of me, and I was not a happy camper. So I quit letting them. I let them know that this grumpy girl that got up at 4 and had to be to work at 7 did not want anyone cutting her when she was waiting ever so patiently in line, and people decided to be rude and get in front of me. NO NO NO I don't think so. If I have to wait then you have to wait, buddy! So they got the point that I wasn't too thrilled with them and they moved. And goodness gracious, how hard is it to make a LINE. Don't crowd, make a line! I guess since they didn't understand english, that might have something to do with it. Maybe next year I will end up going since I know what to expect. But not to this walmart, no way jose!
BTW, Thanksgiving was wonderful. :) Just Julia, Josh and I but that's okay. We had a great time together.
So back to Black Friday, I got to work at 6:40, went ahead and clocked in and cleaned up a bit, and didn't get off til 5 but it went by really fast so I actually enjoyed it. It wasn't even as busy as I was expecting and people weren't annoying or rude. That always makes it easier :)
Well I need to get to bed. Although it's only 7, it's been a long day and I have to get up at 4 and be to work at 6. Goodnight! :)

COLD :(

I hate having a cold :(
It's been a year since I've had one, maybe a little longer. And it's driving me nuts!
My nose burns like crazy from blowing it so much. It won't stop running, I have sneezed about a million times and my right eye keeps crying.
BUT, since I've been sick these last couple days I've managed to make it through work :) Which I'm very happy about because I need to work work work! lol Although a break would be nice, I just can't afford to miss any of my hours! You gotta do what you gotta do. If I were to only have missed one day, I guess it's not that bad but then that's less money to pay bills, and we gotta pay the bills :)
I know it's not good to be proud, but I must say that I am very proud of Josh and I because it has been 7 months since we've been in our own place and although at times it's a little tight, we have managed to do it all ourselves :) Haven't needed any help! It's a wonderful feeling! I remember at first we were worried that we wouldn't have enough money each month to get all the groceries we needed so we were thinking about food stamps, but came to find that everything is alright without them. Some people really need food stamps, and some people well, they're just lazy.
Soooooo.
I made that cajun chicken pasta I talked about in my last post and it was amazing! I'm going to make it again tonight! Josh is at work and won't be home til late tonight so dinner will be ready by the time he gets home :)

Going to be an auntie again

Not much going on, work as usual. We're starting to get even busier with the holidays approaching, which is nice because that means even more hours! :) Only negative thing is the store hours... uggghhhhhh after Thanksgiving, we'll be open from like 8 in the morning til midnight. So I'm just curious how my schedule will be with them needing me for cash office... I have a feeling I'm going to have lots of split shifts. Which I don't mind, but having to get up so early and then coming home and usually not being able to take naps... and then have to go back til midnight, NOT FUN! But oh well, money is money and you gotta do what you gotta do. Now, Christmas shopping, I have not even started and knowing Josh, he probably hasn't either. I still haven't decided what colors I want to decorate the tree :/ I might stick to what I did last year and just buy some extra little ornaments or something. They have really cute ones at Walmart that would match :) Well it's about time for me to cook dinner... I got a recipe online for Chili's cajun chicken pasta so we'll see how it turns out!!!

It's been a lonnnnggg week. Well, since last Tuesday. Josh and I have been staying over at Julia's because she went to Tennessee for a week and I don't want Gidget over here so it was easier to stay there rather than going back and forth to walk her. I wouldn't mind if she didn't shed so much or pee everywhere. If we didn't have carpet, then it wouldn't really be a big deal but we do, so yah. Not much else is going on except work as usual and it is draining me. I can't wait to get out of retail but for now it will have to do because a job is a job and I need mine. The last 4 days our server was down so I've been doing the cash office all manually not knowing if any registers were short or over. So I had to figure it all out in my head. Well I wrote it down but you know what I mean. No computer... Well today everything was up and running correctly so we found out how everything went... So my store manager was very pleased when he got the call from the help desk saying that we were over 8 dollars. Which is really good! YAY ME! lol I was relieved that I didn't mess up too bad :) Good thing I have some brains for math in there somewhere. Well just wanted to do a quick update about nothing important as usual. lol
Oh and we decided not to go to the fair, so no pictures :/ That was a hard decision for me because I love going out and doing fun things but it's just so expensive and I am a tight wad. lol Guess it's not really too much of a bad thing. And boy have I learned from previous events how to save money and whether or not its a good idea to spend on unnecessary things. But I know it drives Josh nuts sometimes. lol Like if he's thirsty and it's only a dollar I'll say no, don't think it's a good idea. lol. Bad habits I need to work on. Well thats all for now. Going to lay down although it's only 6 pm but I am sleeeppppy.

Been a little while since I've posted. I was washing the dishes earlier, while listening to my playlist and this song played. So I wanted to post a blog about it because this song reminds me a lot about myself.
There have been times in my life where I have felt like there was no one around.
No one to talk to, and there still are times that I feel like this. Although I was always around people that were "supposed" to be there for support, it just seemed like they didn't really care. They had no idea what I was going through, they didn't understand. I didn't always feel important enough. Or good enough, because well I was all alone. Didn't have much of a family at the time. Didn't really feel that I had any friends either. Too much gossip, and I don't care to be judged. Not one person has the right to judge any other and no one is perfect. We all have our faults.

Male or female, when one has not been shown love and affection, when one has not known the safety and comfort that should come from their parents or their own home, they will seek it out wherever they can get it-there is always false hope and poor and damaging choices are made when emotions are stirred- there is a temporary feeling of love and acceptance and when that goes away, there is a little less hope and it becomes a little harder to make good choices.

She is searching for shelter and affection but do we care - are we providing that for her or are we happy in our own comfort zones and glad that we are not her. Do we hear her heart, see her pain, do we even care. Are we willing to reach down to her and offer that to her (or him) or are we content to judge? Many judge him or her for their mistakes and weakness and close their ears to the cries for love. They reject him/her based on their actions.

Does anyone know how in the world you make this thing private?
Or block certain people?

Here I am, laying in bed and up a lot later than usual. Oh well, at least I dont have to be to work early :) Josh should be in bed because he has to work in the morning, but he's being a sweetheart and cleaning up the kitchen. And I didn't even have to ask! Lol
I don't want to sound like a hypocrite but I want to say that I am very thankful that Josh and I are okay after our nasty weather last week. Or the week before. I can't remember but I am just very thankful.
Hopefully sometime next year we will be able to get out of Texas and either move to Oregon or back to Reno. Who knows, maybe even Washington. Depends where we find good jobs, meaning Reno probably won't happen. I just can't deal with the weather here and neither one of us are willing to go through another ridiculously humid summer here. It's September and we still have 90-100 degree weather. I would have to say that the perfect weathe here would be 75-80 degrees. :)
I still need to get my dress for Kelly's wedding, I hope that it being a misses size that it will fit. Do they have 0 in misses? Lol and hopefully the bolero isn't poofy. At least the colors are pretty :) my favorite colors to wear together. I also need to get some hot sticks. Hopefully by then my hair will have grown A LOT!!!
Well I'm sleepy so I'm getting off here. Nite!

On a more positive note...
It's been a while since I updated! Just never feel like it, I guess.
Not really on the computer much because all Josh and I do is work work work.

That's just a part of growing up! Oh well. It gets the bills paid, keeps a roof over our heads, and food in our tummies (more in Josh's than mine) lol. I couldn't help but say that.
Anyway work has been pretty good lately, I'm just trying so hard not to get so annoyed. I think I have anger problems. Idk. I never got annoyed at the other store in Reno, but I guess it's just because the customers weren't so messy.
Not much has been going on, we don't really go out much since we're usually working. I think we are going to take Julia out to dinner tomorrow as a late birthday gift, but I don't know if she's made other plans since her boyfriend is in town.
I would have gotten her an actual gift, but she always says that she can get herself whatever she wants to gifts aren't really necessary...
But that isn't going to work for Christmas cuz I won't be able to help myself :)

The fair is coming up at the end of this month. The 25th, I believe and will end October 17th. I think we might end up going. Who knows... last year it rained most of the time so we didn't go til one of the last days. Its so expensive though. I'll have to see if they have a day that the entrance is free because that would save us about 30 bucks :)

Some people really work my nerves. People who think they are better than you.

will be. Why do I put myself in these situations when I know I'm going to end up
getting hurt. Just like before. They never changed. They will continue to make people
feel like they are worthless and continue to look upon them as they are a piece of dirt. That everything others and I do is wrong. That others and I can do no right. That to me, is a very LOW person. You are NOT a good person. You may think you are but your not.
I know I'm not a good person either, but who are you to judge anyone else? I just can't begin to describe how wrong you really are. You ANNOY ME!!!

It's crazy how things happen that you would never expect. Or expect to happen so soon.
A friend of ours got news 2 days ago that his Mom passed away. She was only 54 and they don't know what happened. He has to wait for the results from the autopsy to find out what it was. We had him over for dinner tonight, although he didn't have an appetite but it was nice to have him over and give him some support. I haven't been through what he's going through but my Mom has so I've been talking to her and asking her advice on what I can say to help make him feel just even a little bit better. And being that me and Josh are probably the only friends he has that don't party, I thought having him here would be a lot better. He's going to Reno next week... (yes wierd we are from the same town. lol) Well actually, Fallon is where his Mom lived and his sister lives in Reno. If you all could please pray for him, his name is Justin. Thank you I appreciate it :)
Just want to share something really quick, that although my Mom and I have had our ups and downs, she knows I love her dearly and I don't know what I would do if I lost her. She's a great Mom and has put up with a lot from me and because of that, I am trying to make up for it. I know she doesn't expect it of me but I feel that I owe it to her. I call her everyday, more than once a day. To all you mama's out there, thank you for putting up with us brats!!! lol

Guess it's about time for an update.
I've started probably about 5 of these things since I last blogged and just got tired of typing so I gave up lol.
Not that nothing has been going on, just haven't felt like posting anything :)

Other than that, just been working of course.
Just want to mention, SONIA. That you are crazy. Texas heat is death. lol
It's makin me lose weight horribly and I can't wait to get out of this state.
I know complaining isn't good, but I really hate the fact that I'm losing weight.
It makes me just want to stay inside all day and do nothing.
But I have to suck it up and just be thankful that Josh and I can pay our own bills!

We plan on taking a vaca to Reno next year so while we're there we can look for jobs.
I don't want to move back to Reno, but it would just be a temporary thing.
Then I will try to convince Josh to move to Portland maybe ;)
I DO NOT want to live in Hermiston, I hate that stupid town.
All they have is a walmart. Sure I'd be around my family, but I really don't want to be. We get along much better apart.
Or maybe even in Tri-cities, Washington. But then again, it's only 30 minutes away from the family. Probably too close. lol
I don't want anyone to think I despise my family. Don't get me wrong, I love them. I call my Mom more than once a day. But it's nice to get along with them so to stay apart is better. Haven't seen anyone in over a year. It's crazy.
I just really can't stand Texas anymore.
Everything is so far away. Too many disgusting bugs. Humidity is horrible!!! Josh and I keep our air on all night every night, because if we don't then we will probably drown in our sweat. Gross, I know. But true.
I think I've mentioned the fact that these people cannot drive.
And maybe 1% of them speak english.
SO if anyone ever plans on moving to Texas, don't. lol
I have never been this tired before everrr. I blame it on Texas. haha

Oh we just had our 40% discount. Didn't really buy much, because there wasn't anything we really needed.
Josh got an iphone and he loves it so next it's my turn. My phone has been acting so retarded lately and it really works my nerves. I would keep the phone I have but it's time for a new one. Most of the time it cuts out and I can't hear what the other person is saying. I was talkin to Josh once and I could only hear him on speaker, but hardly even then. So he told me to turn it off and then back on and it worked... I guess I just need to get in the habit of turning it off every now and then. I really didn't want Josh to get an iphone because he has went through about 5 phones just in the year that we've lived here. So I worry but I'm sure he'll be careful. He got a blackberry not that long ago and as far as I know he never dropped it, but it did start acting up. It would randomly restart and his s and k keys had to be pounded on just so they would work.
Well I wrote quite a bit so I'll zip it.

Happy Father's Day

To my Dad, the best Dad there is!
I wish I could be with him on this special day, just to tell him face to face how much I appreciate him.
He has always done his best to support our family. Not only ours, but also to help others when they needed help, even when we weren't financially stable.
There have been times where my Dad has worked 2 jobs just so we could get by.
And I STRONGLY disagree with the people who said that my Dad is a welfare case. Because if that's how they feel, well then they are too. Because they have had to do the same.
When you are the only person in your household of 8 people working and your also helping support your kids friends who need somewhere to stay, it's not easy. So you do what you need to do, even if it means working 2 jobs. Going straight from one job to the other, every single day. Sometimes having one or even no days off. That is what I call a MAN. A FATHER. The best father there is!

I am proud to call him my Dad and although we've had our ups and downs, I owe him so much! All those times I was a brat :P I am definately trying my best to make up for it.

My birthday isn't too far away, and I am stuck on where to go, what to do...
It's either Six Flags Hurricane Harbor or maybe ever Six Flags over texas, (but I'm not the rollercoaster type so probably not)...
or just something simple like a movie and dinner and shopping...

Hurricane Harbor would be nice, and we don't have to go far to get there because it's only a 30 minute drive. :)
It's been so humid and hot here but it would give me a chance to get more of a tan! Been thinking about just going to a tanning bed, but I'm scared! lol
Well just thought I would update. I'm never on here because all I ever do is work, and when I'm not working I'm sleeping...

I've been losing weight and I'm not very happy about it :( I don't weigh enough to lose weight as it is. So PLEASE it would be greatly appreciated!!! Help skinny mini get some meat on her bones! lol

Well Josh and I have a 3 day weekend off, this is day 2 of 3. Tomorrow is his birthday :)

First, we are going to go to Ikea, he wants to see if we can find a new entertainment center because the one we have doesn't hide all the cords.
Then we will go see Shrek and will go to dinner at Red Lobster.

Hopefully he likes them. I'm sure he will, because he told me not to get him anything lol.
But I can't help it. I love buying gifts! I think I actually like buying the gift bags and wrapping paper even more :P

So I heard the most ridiculous story on the news last night. It was talking about how alcohol can actually be good for you. Now what kind of story is that? They were saying that people that drink alcohol can be healthier than people that don't. I just thought that was ridiculous. What a way to encourage people to drink, idiots.

Been working so much lately. Seems like that's all I ever do anymore.

I love the little brat though she's a little booger.
It's so funny because when it's bedtime we bring her to bed with us and she sleeps all night but once she hears us get up or an alarm go off she comes over gets right in our face and starts licking us or just paws at our face (I think that makes sense lol). It's annoying but very cute :)

Well today its been a week since we moved in and we absolutely love our new home. We never want to leave lol. I had so much fun getting it all decorated, I do still have to put the pictures up on the wall. I will get some pictures posted soon. Right now I'm still using our mobiles for internet although we did just get ours hooked up today, but we need to go to julias to get our ethernet cord. So as soon as we get it I will get some pics up. Been cooking a lot lately and would love to have some yummy mexican food but there is only one person who cooks it the way I like and I only have one of her recipes and well that's just not good enough. I want some mole' so bad and some of that yummy rice! Ugh! Now I'm hungry lol.. We had a nice big breakfast the other day. I ade cinnamon french toast, bacon and made an omelette for Josh. Well that's about all I feel like posting for now so I will post more later

Today has been a very long day. It was moving day for Josh and I. All that's left to do is finish decorating... Just a few pics I need to put up on the wall in the livingroom. We are so excited about our new home together! Well just wanted to update really quick I would write more but I am on Josh's blackberry and the keys are too small lol... I'm tryin to get Stephy's blog all finished. She wanted more pictures so I'm just trying to figure out which way would look best to put them up. If they should scroll or just be on the bottom...

Oregon is fine with me. A small town with less people to deal with.

Since no one else has been posting, I will lol.
We have a new assistant manager and I don't like her!!!
She's kinda ruining everything for everyone that works there.
All of us are considered part time, but we usually have full time hours because we are such a busy store.
So every time she makes the schedule she won't give part time more than 20 hours.
I freak out every time, because I'm thinking, how am I supposed to pay rent and everything else with only 25 hours, but I always end up with more hours. Like this weeks schedule, our store manager was in Vegas on vacation so I couldn't go to him, but I think she scheduled me like 20 something hours, but I ended up with 40. Going in early and staying late made it all add up :) Sure I was tired, but gotta do what I gotta do :)
For this next week, she made it again and I had 20. The store manager came back on Monday so he changed it and now I have 32. But I'll end up with more, because I'm not scheduled all day sunday but I always go in all day. So I'll probably end up with 40.
They don't give overtime but as long as I have 30 hours or more I'm happy.
Well I'm going in early today. So gotta finish getting ready :)

Quick post before I head to work... Been really busy... Work work work all I ever do is work. lol
Anyway... been trying to make a blogger for Stephy and it is a pain I tell you. I was trying to fix it because for some reason it was saying u had to subscribe and so I thought I had fixed it... went back to her page and everything was tiny. UGH! lol. Your lucky I love you Steph. :P
Anyway, I think I'm going to start from scratch, and we'll see how that goes.

Day off :)

Josh and I both had the day off and FINALLY went out and did something.
We've just been so tired or too busy cleaning to get out of the house on our days
off...
So we went to the Galleria (which is the mall here). I was going to bring my camera but silly Josh put the battery in the charger but never plugged the charger in. durr.
lol
Anyway it was a fun day for me. I went shopping, Josh didn't want anything. He doesn't really like this mall because it's too "uppity" I guess. Which I agree, but the only store I like is Aeropostale because it's so cheap. So I got 4 shirts from there which came out to only about 40 bucks. 2 of which were for work since they don't have logos, so I was happy to actually find some cute work shirts.
Hmm let's see... I dragged him into claire's lol... got a few things there. He wasn't too happy because after we went in there all these people came in and it being such a small store it was crowded. So we had to hurry and get outta there. Something else that made him mad were these 2 little girls, I'd say not even 10 years old had iphones!!! RIDICULOUS!
When I have kids they can get a phone once they have a job to pay for their own. I've been around too many spoiled brats that get whatever they want and no way do I want my kids to act the way they do. NO WAY.
I was 17 when I got my first cell phone. Which was when I got my first job and I paid for it by myself. And have been ever since.
Anyway... after Claire's went to Genghis Grill. It was sooooo good. Josh's first time being there, as well as mine, but I had been to a mongolian grill before with Sis. Neumann. Can't remember the name, but it was in Pendleton.
After that, went to Godiva to get some chocolate strawberries. They are thee best.
9 dollars for only like 4 or 5 of them but so worth it.
Then we headed to payless and I got some shoes. They are like black mocassins. I love them :)
And last stop of the day was our second home, Ross. lol. Just wanted to see if they had anymore home stuff that caught our eyes but no luck with that.
Well the kitten fell asleep on me so it's kinda hard to type with her laying on my arm so I will post more later.

Update

Just a quick update before I start getting ready for work...
Got all the shopping done. Well almost lol.
Did decide on colors for the bathroom but Anna's Linens didn't have anymore of them so I just have to wait til they do. They get the same things over and over. Going to do lime green & black. Unless we change our mind.
The living room is going to match my scentsy, which is brown, blue and green.
And since there are 2 different tones of each color, I can mix it up a bit.
I'm going to have so much fun!!!
Also, got a kitten, I'll upload real quick.
And I have a couple videos I'll put up too.

SHOPPING!!!

All I've been doing all day. I'm tired!!! lol
Started at Ross, since this week is 40% discount.
Still haven't got anything for the livingroom.
I'm thinking I might decorate in blue, green & brown. Not sure yet.
But it would match my scentsy. We'll see. I still have 3 days so maybe we'll get something in that I like.
It's hard to decide what to go by. If I just want to pick out some wall art I like
and go off of that, or decorative pillows, or a rug.
There are just so many choices I can't decide.
I did so good though!!! Only spent a little over 200.
And bought 30 items!!! Without the discount it would have been 354.
Julia and I went to Ikea also. It was the first time I'd ever been.
LOVED IT!!! I could stay in there for hours!!! I was looking for a dining table, but they only had one I liked so it didn't really give me much of an option.
I'd rather wait to get one til the last minute anyway, because we're already going
to have wwwaaayyy too much stuff stacked in our closet until our moving date.
They had so many bed frames that I loved, but just so many I couldn't decide.
Not that we need a bed frame, but I think I might go back and get one anyway.
Actually went there to find a bathroom set (shower curtain and what not), but no luck. Ended up buying a new computer chair, only 70 bucks :)
Also, got a new lamp for our room, some towels, tupperware, & glasses.
I think that's all. Everything came out to 95 bucks.
So cheap!!! I love that place.
I'm surprised I couldn't find anything there for the livingroom or bathroom, but
like I said there were just so many choices I couldn't decide.
Well I'm tired and worn out from today so I'm going to lay down and rest.

Stuffy

Feeling a lot better, just a cold now.
It's gorgeous outside, so I'm going to walk to walmart and look around.
Only takes about 5-10 minutes to get there.
I want to enjoy this nice weather while it's here.
Hopefully it decides to stay this time...
I'm looking for a table and chairs that sits 4. I looked online but I'd rather see
them in person. So since I have nothing else to do on my day off, no errands to run,
I will go get some ideas. I haven't been on a nice walk in so long because it's been so cold and rainy so today is the perfect day.
Josh is at work, wish he could be here to look with me. But he's leaving the decorating
up to me. I show him and he lets me know whether or not he likes it. lol
Found the comforter set we want at Anna's Linens. Just a simple grey/black/white. Only 70 bucks! woohoo
But we can always splash one color in there somewhere.
I think red would be our best bet. Not too girly and it's my favorite color :)
I wouldn't even mind a lime green to make the room look brighter.
Haven't decided on the bathroom yet. Right now it's brown & blue. May keep it the same but get a new shower curtain and all.
They have really pretty choices at Anna's.
Anyway, we don't have to worry much about furniture, Julia is giving us her couch & love seat. I don't think we'll take the chair. We'll see. She said we could take the table but we decided not to because we are going to need to put our desk in the dining room at our new place so we need a smaller table.
Even if I can only find one for 2 that will be fine. It will only be for looks anyway because we'll be eating in the living room most likely.
We're also takin 2 of the bar stools since we have a snack bar at our apt.
She doesn't use them so they are ours :)
It's so nice not to have to worry about getting living room furniture for now. Of course in the future we'll get something of our own.
Other than the table all we need is a vacuum, broom/mop, crock pot and that's about it. Already have everything else. Of course the pots and pans and dishes which our 40 percent is coming up on Monday and I'm off Monday and Tuesday so I will be shopping both days.
I am so excited!!! I know I've said it enough but I am!!!
I love feeling like a grown up. Although it's stressful at times, I am happy for myself and for Josh. Of course there will be ups and downs but we'll make it through the day.

Goodness! I am sick again.
It is so annoying.
Julia is sick too, she said the whole time she lived in Reno she was never sick.
And since she's been here, maybe 4 or 5 times.
Or more even.
I'm eating some grits right now but they aren't all that good.
I wanted Cream of Wheat but there's no brown sugar. And I need brown sugar. lol
Well I guess it's a good thing I'm off today, that way I'm not having to call in sick and miss work.
I just hope I feel better tomorrow rather than worse because I just hate having to miss work.
It was nice to sleep in today. I think whenever you get sick it's your body's way of telling you that you need to get some sleep :) Just sit around and rest all day. Try and get better.

Woohoo!!!

We went apartment hunting today, and found one!!!
So excited! Very nice apartments, and very affordable.
We wanted the bigger one, but it wasn't available so we are takin the teeny one, which is 722 sq feet, and once the bigger one becomes available we will move into it.
We move in April 19th.

American Idol

I know probably no one else follows up with this, but just thought I'd share that I am definately voting for Haeley Vaughn. She is amazing and has the best voice (in my opinion).
I don't really care too much for Jenell. I think her previous performance was kinda horrible. I'm sure she'll do better as she goes though. I guess it's just because the voices this year are just so good, and she's just not as good as the other girls. The performance she's giving right now is actually pretty bad. So we'll see if she stays or not.
All the guys are really good too. Michael Lynche and Andrew Garcia are my favorites.
Anyway, I know, waste of a blog but just felt like writing about it. I mean typing.

I actually slept in today and it was so nice for a change! But I did not want to wake up.
I'm going to be picking up a lot of hours next week because the other front-end supervisor is on bed rest. So that extra money is always a plus. But I hope she gets better. As far as I know she may have to have heart surgery, so I have a feeling I'll be working a lot for the next month or longer.
Our assistant manager is going to another store, we had a little going away party for her yesterday. It's going to be wierd having a new assistant manager, but hopefully she's as easy to get along with as the rest of the managers are.
I'm going to be training for Area Supervisor :) yay!!!
Of course this is not going to be my career choice, but until I can get the money for school and decide on what I want to do with my career, then this will just have to do for now. It will be more pay, and I will have to go to a different store, but that's okay. It will be good for me and Josh.
Well I need to go blow dry my hair and eat and then off to work... So I'll post more later. Have a great day :)

Thinking...

I have a lot on my mind. Been thinking about a lot tonight.
I just wish I could get these things out of my head.
Rude things certain people have said to me in the past.
They had no right to say the things they did.
Aren't they supposed to be good people? I'm so tired of thinking about it!!!
I don't want to cry just because they are rude, heartless people.
Should I talk to them about it?
I am not a bad person. Sure I'm not perfect, but neither are they.
Who are they to say these things? Not only about me but also to Josh.
To someone they hardly even knew.
They just assumed things because he doesn't have the kind of family they have.
He didn't grow up around the same things they did.
Ugh. I have lots more to say but it's late and I need to try and sleep.

We are planning on celebrating our Valentine's Day tomorrow as far as gift giving goes. Just because Josh has to work on Valentine's Day and he tried to switch the other security guy but he is going to a basketball game. So Oh well. I'm going to go in even though I'm not scheduled because we have extra payroll and I'm going to take advantage of it.
Today I was only scheduled 9:30-2 but stayed til 5:30. It seemed like forever because I was really tired with the lack of sleep I got last night. I don't know why but I tossed and turned. Then woke up at 5:30 and couldn't go back to sleep for probably an hour. Alarm went off at 7:30 and my eyes did not want to open. Even though I'm off tomorrow I'm so ready to go to sleep.
Now, more about Valentine's Day. I think Josh wants to celebrate tomorrow so he can get his gift now. lol
Mr. Impatient. I don't know what he got me but I have a good guess.
I got him a video game. Surprise surprise. lol
He either wanted Mass Effect 2 for his 360 or New Super Mario Bros. for the Wii.
I got him the Mario game for the wii because I am waiting for my id to come in the mail and you have to be 17 or something like that for the 360 game he wanted and well I didn't have my id so he'll have to wait for that game.
I apologize for the blabbing. I know I don't have a very interesting life, but I like to write about my day and well I guess I just like to blab. lol
Other than that, I didn't get him much candy, just some Spongebob gummies and his favorite chocolate cherries. Actually, I got him a Spongebob lollipop too but it must have fallen out of the bag or I accidentally threw it away because it wasn't in there.
I also got him a card. I'll post what it says on Valentine's Day. I told him I love getting cards so it would be a plus if he were to get one for me :)
Well I'm going to watch House Hunters if Josh will hand over the remote.

Today...

We got up at about 8:45 this morning. (That's sleeping in for us now lol)
We are officially old people.

Josh was off today but I didn't have to be in until late.
So we go to Walmart, what for I have no idea, guess he just wanted to look.
Then over to Wells Fargo to get some cash out of my account because my debit
card doesn't work anywhere except for Ross and 7-11. Guess all the other
machines don't like my card. lol anyway I have to get a new debit card, but
have to wait til they send me my new texas id in order to get one. Stupid, I know.
But whatever.
Anyway got some cash out just to have it and then from there went to Chili's.
Haven't had it since we first moved here so it sounded good. I had my usual,
cajun chicken pasta, and Josh had an original burger or something like that.
Staples is right next door to Chili's so we went and looked around.
And of course ended up spending money lol.
Got a new desk, it was only 60 bucks, and we couldn't pass it up because it
was perfect for our room. Now we officially have all black/silver furniture.
It's retractable, so you can have it pushed in or out. We also went ahead
and got our printer/copier/scanner while we were there. Plus it was pretty
much the same price as it was at walmart. We got an hp photosmart.

After that we went home and that was pretty much our day except for putting
everything together and me working.

Haven't posted in a few days, so I suppose I will.
Not much going on...
Work was soooooo slow today.
I felt like I was there for an entire day and not just 8 hours.
There's a girl I work with (Allison), or should I say worked and I feel horrible for her.
Yesterday when our store manager was counting money in the cash office, he noticed that the register she had been on the previous day was $100.00 short. So she was suspended. I just don't think it's fair at all, because they don't have proof. Of course there are the cameras, but you can really only see what's going on in customer service in those cameras. It's too hard to see anything at the other registers.
I just don't think they should have accused her without being 100% sure.
Of course I understand that they are just taking precautions, but still.
It's really not my business I just feel badly for her is all.
As far as I know though she isn't coming back because of the fact that she was so mad at them for doing what they did.
That's all the excitement for now.
Valentine's Day is coming up. yay!!!
My first one with Josh.
There was last year, but he was in Denver visiting his dad.
But he remembered to call me and that made my day.
I have no idea what he had planned so we'll just have to wait and see :)

Josh and I FINALLY have the day off together.
It seems like it's been FOREVER.
So we are definately enjoying it.
We woke up somewhat early, a little bit before 9.
Layed in bed for about 20 minutes or so then got ready for the day.
Had to go to DPS this morning, which is DMV in Reno.
I was expecting us to be stuck there almost the whole day, but it ended up taking only about 10 minutes.
I thought I was going to have trouble with getting my id because my nevada id is expired. But the lady was really nice, I told her I have extra papers if she needed them and she said what I gave her was great.
Had my birth certificate, social & expired nevada id.
For backup I brought my shot records, pay stubs, bank statments, and phone bills.
Just to be on the safe side :)
I'm happy it went smoothly. No stress for me yay!!!
After that we went to Taco Bueno, yum!
I got a flame-grilled chicken fajita, and it was so good, I wish I would have gotten about 3 more.
Now, I'm home not wanting to clean. lol
Later we're going to get a few groceries, just enough to last us til we get paid again.

Just been working is all.
Josh did an overnight the other day.
He worked from 2 pm til 7 am yesterday morning.
So it was a long and tiring night for him.
At least he had yesterday off though.

Apartment hunting is annoying! lol
We would look for a house but it would probably be even more annoying.
We both want to stay in these apartments but something cheaper would be better
just because having that little bit of extra money is always good.
Just incase Sarah needs some clothes. lol jk That is the last thing in the world I need. I have enough to open my own store. lol
Anyway. It's between these apartments and these other ones somewhat down the street.
We just want to stay in this neighborhood because it's nice and quiet.
The plus about being here is we would have our own washer and dryer
The other ones have the hookups but we would have to buy a washer and dryer so I don't know.
I don't like going to laundromats because some people like to borrow your clothes.
We'll have to wait and see, because I don't know what the inside of the other apartments look like, but the outside is gorgeous.

Just been doing laundry all day. What fun. lol. Since today would have been Elvis' bday I have the tv on cuz they are playing his movies. Right now it's Blue Hawaii. It's been so long since I watched an Elvis movie. lol. I'm not really even watching it though just have it on.
Waiting for Josh to get home from work. Looks like we're having chicken and rice tonight yum yum.
I really wanted to go to Chili's last night but it's just been getting so cold so I decided I'd rather just go straight home from work and relax in the warmth.
If there is one thing I cannot stand that is to be cold. It's annoying! lol
I don't even want to walk Gidget because it's too cold so I guess it's a good thing she sleeps all day. haha.
Josh and I went to the animal adoption center and I didn't find anything I liked. No puppies and no kittens.
But I've been looking online.
I found a kitten I wanted so bad but the place you adopt them from charges 125. I'm sorry but I'm not paying that much for a stinking kitten! lol
Now if it was a puppy, sure.
I just hope I find something soon cuz I want one now :P

Well better get off here and go make dinner. Josh has been working all day and he needs to come home to some yummy food. Lemon Pepper Chicken and rice. yummy.
AHH! I just remembered I didn't put a pop in the freezer for him. Better do that so he has a nice cold one when he gets home. He was off yesterday and had dinner ready for me when I got home. Made me yummy tacos with all the works. I wanted tamales, but he decided to eat those after not reading the text I sent him telling him to save me one. lol
But those tacos were good so I was happy :)

Well I'm still sick but getting better. Now it's just a cough and stuffy/runny nose. It started out the day after Christmas with my nose burning and feeling sick to my stomach and just really achy. I had to call out of work twice which I really didn't want to but the 2nd day I was so achy I couldn't move. I slept pretty much that whole day. And if I wasn't sleeping, I was laying down. And I called out Wednesday too, because that's when the cold started and I felt miserable.
Enough about me being sick. Now Christmas :)
I'll try and hurry cuz I'm about to leave for work.
(Actually Christmas Eve, we opened one present each, Josh got a bluetooth headset and I got a robe that came with some body wash & lotion)
now Christmas...
So we wake up at 8, I wanted to lay in bed but Josh opened the blinds and starts saying "CHRISTMAS TIME!" lol
We waited for maybe an hour then Julia woke up. So we started opening presents.
Josh got 2 hoodies, a phone case, a beanie, a DS game, Call of Duty modern warfare 2 for the xbox, a video game chair, slippers, earmuffs, wallet, watch, a Wii & 2 Wii games (Super Smash Bros Brawl & Silent Hill Shattered Memories) and of course the Wii came with the wii sports . Those were from me. Julia bought the wii fit for herself but had me wrap that one so he could open it too. And Julia got him something for the computer and a new cell phone.
I got my camcorder :D, my twilight book, lots of pjs, a BCBG outfit, 3 different perfumes: Hilary Duff with love, Escada (idk which one) and Ralph Lauren HOT. Hmm let's see oh also I got a 3 barrel curling iron I think that was it but I probably left something out. Julia got me some pjs from Victoria's Secret and a Love Spell set that came with a cute handbag.
We got her a bluray player, 2 movies to go with it, a docking station for her iphone, a Starbucks giftcard, and an Itunes giftcard.
For dinner, we had steak and potatoes and watch Taking of Pelham 123, which was one of the bluray movies we bought her. It looked really cool on the tv. Almost like we were in an actual theater.
Anyway.
We are going to be getting our own apartment and I'm so excited! We're going to live in the same complex. It will be around 822 a month for a one bedroom but it's a good neighborhood so it's worth it. It's only our apartments and some townhouses across the street and that's it. So we don't have to worry about noise.
