I've never read the book but I did see the movie based off of the book. Well actually I'm not sure which was first, the book or the movie but anyway it is awesome.

Fam.I.L.Y

So in my last post I had mentioned something about how I couldn't understand why someone would want to try and tear a family apart. Well things are definitely looking up! I am so excited and shocked that they finally decided that family is important and that all this nonsense just wasn't worth it. So now I can see my niece and I can build a relationship with her, as well as my sister-in-law, Janette. And of course I get to see my brother Jerry. :)
I wish we could all just go to Oregon and spend Christmas together but unfortunately that takes a lot of money and planning, and also bravery. Which I am not about to drive in the winter through Oregon and Idaho no way Jose I don't think so. lol
A few years ago we did that and it was only a couple weeks after a pretty bad car accident I was in so that was not fun whatsoever for me. A trip that is only supposed to take 9-10 hours (depending on whose driving, of course lol) and on the way there it took 14 and 18 or more on the way back. I remember it so well, blizzard, white out conditions, Caleb having to stick his head out the window just so he could tell my Mom if she was on the right side of the road, semi's staying right behind us because they couldn't see a thing. It was very scary and I don't ever care to experience that again. I love my family, but it's just a really dangerous thing to do. At least I think so.
Well I better get going, Don't have much to clean but would like to tidy up a bit. It's funny how a made bed can make a room look so much more clean! lol
Can't wait to see my brother, sister and my niece tomorrow!

Well tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and I've had a lot going through my mind.
I'm sad that this will be the 3rd year I won't be spending it with any of my family.
I invited Kenny over, but he will be going to Jerry's. Not very happy about that.
But at least I can spend it with Josh's family, and for that I am thankful. And I will be skyping with my family, so it's better than not seeing them at all.
I just don't understand why someone would want to split a family apart. It makes me so angry and frustrated and sad all at the same time. I want to look this person straight in the eyes and just tell them how I feel. "How dare you do what you've done! Just who do you think you are?!?! You know absolutely nothing about this family, and you have no idea the sacrifices my parents had to make!"
It just makes me want to scream.
I haven't really been posting much, I think my last post was the the 13th. Not much going on other than work. Yesterday I slammed my hand against something at work, just some plastic bins, because I have the tendency to swing my arms when I'm walking. So apparently I hit it really hard, because my hand started to tingle afterwards and then I almost blacked out so I was sent home early. And my hand is killing me. They had me fill out an accident report, although I felt it was unnecessary because I'm sure it'll just bruise. But just incase it happens to get worse, they wanted to make sure they called it in. So I'm just hoping it'll get better within a couple days.
Well I better get going. I am making the eggs tonight so it's one less thing to have to worry about preparing tomorrow. Goodnight :)

Happy Birthday Mom :)

Okay So I am 2 days late on this and I meant to post this on the 12th but better late than never.
My mom is getting old! lol So sad that once again another year passed and I didn't get to spend her birthday with her, but thanks to whoever invented Skype, at least I was able to see her. We've had our ups and downs, and I may not be as close to my Mom as most people are to theirs, but she's still my Mom and I love her.
So I dedicate this song to her. Love you Mom :)

40% :)

So this week is our 40% discount at work and so far I've ended up with a few shirts, some curtains/curtain rod for our alcove in our room, a mirror and a shower curtain liner. Josh got 2 ties, socks and 2 shirts. We were in desperate neat of some long sleeve shirts/sweaters, but we still have 3 more days to find more, so hopefully we can. Also still want to get some more dishes, because all we've had since we moved here is what Josh and I had in our apartment which was only 4 big plates, 4 small plates, 4 bowls and lots of glasses (which we don't need). With only 2 people that's really all we ever needed. Julia just decided to toss all hers when we packed up her place because they were all old and she wanted more room and less things to have to worry about getting into the moving truck. And still hasn't gotten anyway, so I figure 40% is the best time to take advantage of it and spend less :) Other than that I would love to get some Christmas shopping done- which probably won't happen. At least Josh is the only person I have to shop for and then most likely I won't be able to help but spoil my nephew. Well I am sleepy so to bed I go :) gnite all
Oh and btw if you weren't at church on Sunday, I'm going to brag by telling you that you missed out! It was A-MA-ZING :)

skinny :'(

I'm so tired of people commenting on my weight. I cannot help it. If I could snap my fingers and weigh about 10 or 15 pounds more, trust me, I would. I do eat, obviously if I didn't I would probably be dead.
I had a customer yesterday that talked negative about my weight the entire time she was checking out. And one comment she made really made me (excuse this) want to jump over the counter and slap her or tape her mouth shut. She said, "You shouldn't go through life like that." Like what? skinny? Lady, you know nothing about me. There are girls that starve themselves just so they can be small and they look disgusting.
I'm not one of them. I do not want to be skinny, this is just the way I am and I can't help it. Being made fun of for being skinny is no different than a fat person being made fun of for being fat.

I miss my adorable nephew :'( I'm seriously thinking Josh and I need to either fly up there again or just drive before the roads start getting bad. This picture is him with his favorite blankie that his Auntie Sissy (me) got him. Malea told me that he never lets go of it and if you try and take it from him, well, he's not going to like you very much.
So in my last post I had mentioned that I am going to be an Auntie for the 3rd time. And no, I'm not happy. Because Caleb is stupid. He thinks it's going to be fun. Well he's looking at taking care of babies from an Uncle point of view, he doesn't have the 24/7 responsibility. I love his girlfriend or fiance' or whatever she is, but I just don't really think they're ready for this. Nor are they responsible enough.
Anyway.
I made cupcakes last night from scratch. I found a recipe for oreo cupcakes so I figured I'd try it. I don't like them but Josh does and that's who I made them for so I guess that's fine! lol I'm going to try a different recipe next time and see if they turn out even better :)
I'm going back to sleep now.

I hate being sick :(

So we went to church yesterday, although I was kinda iffy about it because of this stupid cold I have, but I didn't feel so terrible until about 1ish when I started getting a headache. We really wanted to stay longer but I was feeling worse and worse by the minute.
So we come home and I lay down for a bit until I just couldn't keep my eyes open any longer, so I went in the room and fell asleep for a couple hours.
I was hoping I would feel better this morning, and I thought I did until I got up out of bed. Other than the typical cold (stuffy/runny nose, cough & sore throat), every time I move around I feel pukey, my legs are killing me (even when I'm laying in bed they hurt), and I'm freezing and burning up at the same time. So needless to say I will not be going to work today- which I'm not very happy about. I had the last 3 days off and now I have to get sick? ugghhh. I had good hours this week too. So much for that. I could just suck it up and go, but I know if I don't stay home and rest it's just going to get worse.
I'm so hungry! All I ate yesterday was the rice and beans & beans and cheese I had at the potluck and then some soup last night, which I didn't eat much of. But I don't want to eat anything solid because I have a feeling it'll just come right back up. :(
well that's all, I'm going back to sleep since I woke up about 10 different times throughout the night

Had a good day yesterday, unfortunately had an annoying headache along with it, but as soon as I got to bed I crashed! And now, no headache :)
Anyway, it was nice seeing some people, of course there's a few that are too stuck up but whatever :) Their problem, not mine.
I brought my camera, but didn't feel like taking pictures, so don't have any to post.
Today I'm just enjoying my day off, being lazy since the house is already clean... but maybe I'll organize the storage closet or something since I don't have anything else to do. Well I guess that's it for an update.

Just thought I'd post real quick.
I am SO glad we left Texas when we did, because they are having terrible heat right now.
I believe I got heat stroke once in the 2 years that we lived there, and it wasn't even in the 100's. I don't think it ever got that hot the entire time we lived there, but I am so thankful that I don't have to deal with the humidity anymore!
It's hot here, but at least it's bearable.
I always have to laugh when someone comes into work complaining about how hot it is. I'm always thinking, "Go live in Texas for 2 years, and then you can complain!"
Well I better cut this short and make sure I have everything I need. Like shoes. lol
I don't think I could ever make the mistake of leaving the house without my shoes on. A lady came in the other day that did that and also there was a lady in Texas that did that a few times and had to buy shoes each time. Guess she should always keep a spare in her car!
Alright well that's all for now. :)

Tahoe

Decided last minute to go up to Tahoe today. I had so much fun! First we went to North Tahoe (Kings Beach), sat for a while, went on a walk and then more sitting in the sun and enjoying the sound of the waves. After that we drove through West Tahoe and ended up in South Tahoe, and ate at the Denny's there.
Definitely plan on going again soon!
While driving through on our way to South Tahoe, we stopped at the side of the road to take some pictures. So breathtakingly beautiful!!!

Baby Apollo - make slideshow

Did not want our vacation to end, but we had to get back to reality! Josh loved it so much there. I was very surprised to find that out because Hermiston is such a small town, and so there's not much to do there. But he loved it so much that he wants to move there. So hopefully that will be happening soon! It was no fun saying goodbye especially to my sister, Joaquin and my new nephew. We can't wait to see everyone again!

Just one more week til our mini vacation! :)

And 3 days til my bday, well 2 not counting today. YIKES!!! lol
I love that Josh and I still manage to get days off together even though we don't work together anymore. It's very convenient! So we spent all day running around town today and I don't know about him, but I had so much fun.
First, we went to Meadowood and I got my starbucks fix and he got some chinese food from flaming wok I believe it was. Then from there went into Pacsun and found Josh a shirt we were expecting to pay 16 for and it wasn't even 4. So that was nice! After that went into Sears and Josh wandered off to the electronics while I went straight for the baby dept. and found baby some cheap clothes! I got him 2 pair of shorts, 2 pair of pants and 1 set of pjs for 15 bucks!
Then it was off to legends because I wanted to look around at Target there since they usually have cute baby clothes. Unfortunately I didn't find what I was looking for but they did have some cute little baby hangers, so I got those. Oh and of course we went to bug Rowell :) Since he got off at 3:30 we decided to meet up with him for lunch at BJ's so we had to kill an hour... went over to Game Stop, Josh bought a game, he opened it, big scratch, went right back in to return it. So I told him from now on, if it's not a new release, ask them if you can see the back for any scratches that way you don't waste your time purchasing it and take a chance of having to go right back to return it. From there, we went over to Legends because I wanted to go into (of course) the baby stores :) So went into Carters and OH MY!!! I wanted to buy everything!!! lol I was looking for a 3 month shirt to go with these little shoes that I bought for the baby so I ended up finding 2 and also got these adorable little shorts that I just couldn't pass up. So for those 3 it was only 12 bucks!!!
He is definitely getting spoiled by his auntie!
Well it's 12 minutes past the time I wanted to get to bed so I better get off here. Back to work in the morning after my lovely 2 days off with my Handsome Hunk.

Quick update before I go to work, I guess. Haven't really felt like it lately and if I have no blogs to read, I give no one blogs to read. lol Only reason I'm posting one is to kill time before I have to leave. So it's for myself not anyone else :)

Baby is doing great, just keeping his mommy and daddy up all night. Just a little more than a week until I get to see him and I can't wait! Oh oops and see the rest of my family. lol I told them all when Josh and I get there that I'm going to ignore all of them and go straight for my nephew. :P
I'm mean, but not that mean. (But I probably will) They said they'll just hide him. I'm excited to see everyone, and at least Josh will finally meet the rest of my family. (Poor him) lol I have already given him warning that I have a crazy family.
Hmm. Let's see.... Birthday is coming up. I'm so old! uggghh. Can't decide where I want to eat. Sorta want to go to a buffet, but I can't decide between Toucan Charlie's (Atlantis) or Island Buffet (Peppermill).
Josh's sister is coming up for the 4th so we'll get to see her before we leave and then when we come back, I believe his Dad is going to be coming to visit also. So we have a crazy month ahead of us!
Well that only took a few minutes of my time but at least I'm warm hiding under my blanket. We keep all the windows open at night and so I am freezing!!! I'm falling asleep zzzzzzzzzz Don't wanna go to work! lol I've only had one day off since I started so I am looking forward to my 2 days off this week. Woohoo. :)

Malea is very very tired. She ended up having to have a c-section because she wasn't dilating past a 6. But everything went good, baby is fine and mama is fine. She has been at the hospital since 4:15 pm yesterday due to high blood pressure and her feet were swelling bad. I got a call about 5:30pm yesterday saying that she was in labor. So it was a very long night for her and my mom, who was up all night and still is awake. has been for over 30 hours so hopefully she gets a lot of sleep tonight!!! So after about 17 hours, their bundle of joy finally arrived.

Well, Malea started going into labor about 5:30 pm yesterday afternoon and still no baby. She's been at a 6 for quite a while so she is going to have a c-section. I can't wait to talk to her and see my beautiful niece. (at least I hope it's still a girl!) lol

Very disappointed!!!

Farmers Market was terrible. I am so upset! I loved going there before but now.... don't know if I can convince myself to go at all anymore. They may as well just show up drunk because that's all they're going to do anyway. I mainly went for karaoke and they didn't even have it!!! I don't know if it's just because it was the first day but I am so disappointed.

I'm so sleepy and can't believe I managed to stay up past 10. Almost midnight wow!
Got a busy day tomorrow. Have some running around to do and going to see my brother again :) and then for some fun at farmers market :)
Finally starting work on Sunday and boy have we enjoyed our break! We probably won't get another chance to go to farmers market for a while so I'm taking the chance while I have it! I really only go for the food and for the karaoke thing so I hope it's good! Alright well it's way past my bedtime goodnight!

Been getting the house all situated and we're almost done!
Really the only thing left is clothes and we just have so many we haven't felt like folding all of them.
Lol. It's been a nice little vacation from work and we will probably be starting either sunday or Monday.
We should've already, but the Dallas store is retarded and they were supposed to email the transfer not fax so
It's taking longer than expected. Which is nice but no work equals no money. Luckily there's vacation pay, but that doesn't last forever.
We absolutely love our new home and if I can upload pics from my phone then I will but I'm not sure if that's possible.
Don't have Internet yet, but that'll be taken care of on Wednesday. I just looked out the window and the sky looks so pretty, the clouds are pink with the sunsetting. I've been really enjoying this weather, way better than the terrible Texas heat! Well I'm going to see if I can upload some pictures. :)

Getting closer

Mother's Day

Even though I didn't get to spend Mother's Day with my Mom for the 3rd year in a row now, at least I still got to see her. Skype definitely comes in handy when being so far away from family! I wished her and Malea both a Happy Mother's Day because even though Malea hasn't had baby yet, I still consider her a mother. She's only got a little more than a month to go, unless of course, baby decides to come early! Or more than a month, if baby is stubborn. We'll see. She's getting so big and she's so cute! She hates her belly and always says how fat she is but I tell her there's a difference between being fat and being pregnant. You can't help how big your belly is, fat people can.
So for Mother's Day, I sent my Dad some money to help pay for a new camera for my Mom and I also sent her the cutest card. I'll have to take a video of it the next time I skype with them. Of course, it's Hoops & Yoyo, those cards are my favorite! I even had a Hoops & Yoyo cd but I think I left it back in Reno. Other than the camera, my Dad also got her a cd player, along with 2 tim mcgraw cds. And Malea got her a glass candle holder with a Thank you Mom poem on it. So I skyped with them for a couple hours. They have it facing the living room so they don't have to sit at the computer the entire time and they can all talk to me. So that was my Mother's Day.
Julia worked all day so we didn't get to take her out like we usually do, but she got some pretty flowers :)

Haven't posted in about a month so I guess I'll just stop by really quick. I see no point in posting unless I'm just really that bored and have nothing to do. So while I'm cooking dinner and waiting for Josh to get home I figured I may as well. Nothing new to update, just working as usual. That's all we do. Work, eat and hardly sleep. Oh the joy of being a grown up. lol Some people just aren't as lucky as others I guess and they actually have to work to pay the bills. That's just life and I love that I found someone to spend it with who loves me and treats me right. I love you Josh. His birthday is coming up at the end of the month so I think we're going to have a nice bbq for him and I'll have to figure out something to get him. Hmmm. Probably either a new graphics card for the computer or he also wanted to 3-DS. But Idk. He didn't play with the DS we have now for very long so it would probably be a waste. We aren't like most people who buy things that they'll use once just because everyone else has it and end up wasting all that money on it. So I'll think of something :) Well that's all.

It's 4 am right now, been awake since 2:45, and didn't even fall asleep until about 11 I believe. Let's just say I HATE TEXAS WEATHER!!! It's too loud and too scary. I was going to get up at 5 for work anyway but I'm not going out in this yucky stuff. I was scheduled for markdowns anyway so it's not really important for me to be there. They always have 3 or 4 people for markdowns when most of the time they really only need 2 depending on what's being marked down. Since this week it's just misses, juniors, petites, women's world, juniors and maternity, it will be easy. It sounds like a lot but really it's not too bad since it's all clothes and all your doing is scanning and if it's marked down the sticker prints and you stick it over the original price. Simple. Other than that, if there's no tag then of course you make a price for the item :) Anyway I'm going to see if I can go in and close. I don't think they ever say no to an extra closer, it's always good to have as many as possible.
Well I'm going to try and get some sleep with all this nonsense.

Something that really irks me...

is when I see parents that seriously let their kids do some of the things they allow them to do. Ridiculous. Yesterday reminded me of one of the things I absolutely cannot stand. Little girls wearing shoes they have no business wearing. Not until they are 16 (at least). Heels, seriously? Not very good parenting if you ask me. I'm glad my parents didn't allow neither me or my sister to do that. And why is that, because we were LITTLE GIRLS and had plenty of time to grow up once that time came around. In our teens, and not even as soon as we became teenagers. I don't care how mature someone SEEMS to be, if you are under 16 you have no business wearing heels. Why would you want your daughter to grow up fast? You need to cherish their time being a little girl because before too long she's not going to be that little girl anymore. I played with barbies until the time I was in high school. Does that make me immature, no. I don't think it does. But it shows that my parents didn't allow me to do things that girls my age shouldn't have been doing. Thank you Mom & Dad for not letting me grow up too fast.

Not much has been going on just work work work as usual. Weather has been annoying and won't make up its mind. We had 40% off this week at work and today is the last day so since it's our day off we'll probably go up there and see if they got anything good in today that we might need. Kitty(our cat) is still a brat but we love her to death. She makes me laugh sometimes because most cats are dumb and have no idea what your saying but she knows when she's in trouble and what no means. When we go to bed at night she goes to bed with us and doesn't get up until we do. Or she'll just keep walking on us or meow and try to wake us up. And then when we talk to her she'll talk back to us. It's the funniest thing. I'm sure I have a video somewhere I can put up. Right now she keeps creeping up on me because I'm typing fast and she wants to attack my fingers. lol

Oops!

I always go over and read my blogs to check for spelling mistakes, and lately I've been having to edit more than usual. I guess it's just because I'm typing too fast and not paying attention. I keep using the wrong "homophones." for example: Their, there and they're. That's the main one I always mess up on but I always have to go back and fix it because it drives me crazy lol. I hate when I go on websites or even in books and see typos because I can't change it. Oh well. Well today is my day off, and it's been over a week since my last so I'm going to treat myself to a lazy day. Not to mention I'm not feeling so well from all this working. I'm so exhausted so I might just sleep on and off all day. Josh has to close today, so I most likely won't be able to sleep because usually I can't if he's not home. I woke up late today and really had to force myself to sleep because I'm so use to getting up at 5 a.m everyday. Better get off here and find myself something to eat. :)

Txu is one of the electricity companies here in Dallas and they recently sent their customers out some cash reward cards. It was only $21.00 but hey I work at a cheap clothing store so I finally gave in and bought myself some new clothes. Well nothing much really just a few new shirts. I rarely ever buy anything anymore but I prefer it that way. After WASTING quite a bit of my money from my settlement on ungrateful, unappreciative jerks, I've become a tightwad. LOL. I mean I really hate spending money. I'll go to the mall looking for stuff and I'll leave without absolutely nothing. I think it's a good thing, because it feels really good to have money saved up. Even our taxes we got back, I'm not spending one dime. I've had it for about a month so far and haven't touched it. And then also in April I think we'll be getting our deposit back from txu so that will be even more to save. :) Josh is getting good at saving too but it's harder for him than me. But I definitely understand because I had a first job too and I wanted to buy everything. It just takes a while to get use to. I'm so happy for the both of us, and I never would have thought we would be able to make it on our own. And without him I wouldn't be able to do it, because he's the main bacon maker lol. He does so much for me and it doesn't go unnoticed but I don't show appreciation all the time and I really need to do it more. We're just both always so tired and stressed from work so I don't really go out of my way to show it. June is getting closer and closer and my sister's belly is getting bigger and bigger and I'm so excited! Found a baby book at work today and it's so adorable and it also beats spending $20.00 at Baby's R us rather than $5.00. I need to slow it down though because I don't want to end up buying all this girly stuff and then it turns out they made a mistake and it's a boy. I really hope not because I've found the cutest little things. Well I'm hungry so I'm going to go. Goodbye

So I sorta have this new obsession with guacamole bean dip. Lol Ever since I made it for the first time for our Christmas party this past December for work, I'm always craving it! It's so good and doesn't require cooking and it's a quick easy snack. And of course I can make it simple with just the beans and the guacamole as the next layer, sour cream as the next and shredded cheese on top. (Not the nasty shredded cheese that you buy already shredded in a bag.) I'm sure not many people read this blog, or any for that matter, but if you are and you have a recipe you think I might like, please feel free to share :) I've been having so much fun learning new recipes. Just a tip, I pretty much only eat chicken and pot roast as far as meat goes. But any other meat recipes are good too because I still gotta be fair and make Josh food he likes as well. Poor him he always gets stuck eating chicken. lol Not that he doesn't really mind but I'm sure it gets old after a while. :)

Malea Ann, not only my sister but my best friend.

Can't wait to see my seester! She's getting so cute and chunky... Hurry up June and get here already so that I can spoil baby and sissy. It's probably the hardest being apart from her even more so than my parents and brothers because aside from Josh she truly is my best friend and I love her so much! We've been through so much together and even through all the name calling and all the fights, I don't know what I would do without her. So even though you don't read this Malea Ann, I love you very much and you mean so much to me! More than words can say. I can't wait to see you so I can squeeze you! lol

Baby girl

So much exciting news here lately!!!
I'm going to have another niece! I'm so excited, now I can start spoiling like crazy.
She decided to have the baby shower after baby is born, that way she doesn't find out
the gender before she's born. And she wants it co-ed so we'll have a nice big bbq since she'll be a summer baby :)
So I'm really hoping Josh and I will make it there and might actually stay there for my birthday so we can have fun setting off our own fireworks.
Also, we plan on getting out of Texas by the time both our leases are up, so we can't wait! It's not a for sure thing about the location, but at least we'll be back on the west coast and closer to all of our family.
On a less positive note, this weather here right now is terrible. The roads have been complete ice for the last 2 days. So I missed the first day of work, as well as many other people. We've had rolling blackouts, but at least we were both at work when that happened. It made for a very boring day at work though. The power went out 4 times and it took about 15 to 20 minutes for it to come back on and then another 20 minutes or more just for the registers to come back up. I hate when that happens because then the stupid customers who go out in this for no reason get impatient and want a discount. Well you should have stayed home. Not our fault you decided to come here. If you were smart, you wouldn't be putting your life or others in danger and you would stay at home like a normal person where it's safe and warm. But anyway we closed at 3 the first day and 5 yesterday. I'll just be glad when the sun comes out and melts it away. Of course, it's supposed to snow anyway, but that's better than the ice. That's about it for my update. :)

We are SOOOOOO excited!!! Went to Ikea yesterday and bought new furniture and it's being delivered today. FINALLY our OWN brand new furniture! Got a love seat, chair and coffee table and 2 end tables for not even 400 bucks. I loveee that store and I think I want to move in so I can use all the different kitchens lol. I know it's just furniture but hey I'm a weirdo and enjoy even looking at washers and dryers. haha. Even Josh is just as excited as I am about it, and that's pretty surprising. It's not much furniture, but it's just the 2 of us and we hardly have people over because we're usually working but if anytime in the future we want another love seat or something we'll just head on over to Ikea again :)
So I've changed my playlist. GLEE. I'm a little obsessed with the show. Even though a lot of the songs I don't know, I've heard the originals and I love to hear the way they sing it. Not the type of show I thought I would be interested in but after the first time I was hooked. Josh got me GLEE karaoke for Christmas for the wii and I love it. He won't play it with me, what a bum, but that's okay. At least I have a game out of all the games we have that I can actually sit there and play for more than 5 minutes and not lose interest right away.
Well I should probably eat some lunch and clean up a bit so the house doesn't look a hot mess when they deliver the furniture. :) Goodbye!
